Video Guard towers secure public viewing in Borken
Summer, sun, soccer fever: the 2024 European Championship is just around the corner and Germany is gearing up for an exuberant soccer atmosphere throughout the country. In Borken, North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, a public viewing event will be held for all of the German team’s matches. The venue is the Mühlenareal. To ensure that soccer fans can watch their idols on the big screen undisturbed and carefree, the area is secured by Video Guard camera towers.
European Football Championship in Germany: The enthusiasm in this country is understandably great. Public viewing – watching matches together in public spaces – has enjoyed great popularity for years. However, where many different people come together, problems can naturally always arise. For example, high temperatures, alcohol consumption and a heated soccer atmosphere may require intervention in public viewing. For the planned public viewing at the Mühlenareal in Borken, those responsible have therefore decided to install video surveillance using camera towers from Video Guard. These will be placed at various central locations on the site. With their high-resolution cameras, which ensure seamless surveillance even at night, they protect sensitive, high-quality technology and other event equipment from theft and vandalism, for example. At the same time, the towers offer the opportunity to address soccer fans directly via loudspeakers in the event of any incidents. If necessary, security personnel can also be called in to help. The cameras can also be used to reliably direct streams of visitors. This means that the trained specialist staff in the control center can give clear instructions via loudspeaker if necessary.
