AddSecure receives gold medal in EcoVadis sustainability rating
AddSecure – and therefore also Video Guard – was recently awarded the gold medal for successful sustainability management by the EcoVadis rating agency. The ratings and scorecards of the EcoVadis methodology show how well a company has integrated the principles of sustainability into its business and management system. With this rating, the leading European provider of premium IoT solutions is one of the best-rated companies. As a leading German innovator in the field of technology-driven video surveillance, International Security GmbH is also part of AddSecure and also aligns its business activities with the principles of sustainability.
The EcoVadis rating focuses on four assessment categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Last year, AddSecure was awarded silver in the sustainability ranking. With this year’s “Gold Award”, the company is among the top five percent of the more than 90,000 companies in over 160 countries assessed by EcoVadis. “The gold medal is recognition of the hard work of our many employees, who have made a significant contribution to ensuring that the measures we have taken are actually lived and implemented,” explains Jörn Windler, Managing Director of International Security GmbH, a member company of AddSecure and leading provider of modern video surveillance technology in Europe. For example, the company relies on photovoltaics (PV) in various areas. The Video Guard surveillance systems themselves are also available with solar panels and environmentally friendly fuel cells and are therefore completely self-sufficient. The production hall in Hesel also has a PV system.
“In order to meet the growing demands in terms of sustainability in the future, we are continuously working on the implementation and integration of efficient measures – with the aim of becoming climate-neutral by 2025. The gold medal shows that we are on the right track here,” says Windler.
